A Night to Give Thanks
We would like to thank everyone who joined us on Wednesday night, November 24 for "A Night to Give Thanks." The evening featured an amazing presentation by Vicken Arabian, executive director of YERKIR USA, on the work that is being done by the organization in Armenia. YERKIR is an Armenia based agency-union of non-governmental organizations for the repatriation, settlement and socio-economic development of the border regions of the independent Republics of Armenia and Karabagh. The organization funds the construction of single family homes, schools and community centers in villages that are populated by Armenian refugees. Due to our members' generous donations, we were able to donate over $1,000 to this worthy cause. Our donation allowed YERKIR to sponsor the family of Artak Kyureghyan.
